What to do when your Google Adsense account shows error for Ads.txt file?
When you are trying to make revenue through your website or your blogging website, you need to register on Google Adsense account so that Google can run advertisement on your website.
You create your Google Adsense account however it shows the error that your Ads.txt file is not updated on your website. This is required so that Google recognizes you as a authorized seller on Google Adsense platform.
You can follow the below mentioned steps to add ads.txt file your word press website
- Login into word press website
- Please install the plugin Ads.txt manager plugin by 10up
- Go to the settings of your wordpress website and select the plug in Ads.txt
- In the Manage Ads.txt, add the following detail
- (Domain name of the authorized seller) google.com, (Publisher ID) pub———–, (Type of relationship DIRECT), (Certification Authority ID) ———-
- These details you will be able to fetch from your Google Adsense account
- Login to your Google Adsense account and Click on sites
- Click on the site which doesn’t have Ads.txt file
- Copy the details – google.com, pub—————-, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0
- Paste these details into your wordpress website. Click on the settings, click on the Ads.txt plugin and window will open. Paste the details into this window and Save the changes
- You cross-check your ads.txt file. For Example datasciencevidhya.com/ads.txt. If this displays the details that you have pasted, then you have added the ads.txt file to your website succcesfully.
- Refresh your Google Adsense account and now the status of Ads.txt should return “Authorized”
